The Mito 5 Challenge is run by Brett Mezrow and his friend Niels Strautnieks, who has the disease. Maya Rigler, another fifth grader with the disease, runs a charitable web page through an organization called Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and she wants to be a philanthropist when she grows up.
