Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque’s Youth Area Philanthropists Award $5,000 to Support Local Youth-Serving Nonprofits

The YAPPERS, the youth grantmaking board of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, recently announced the recipients of their 11th annual grantmaking cycle. Grants totaling $5,000 were awarded to the following nonprofits and programs:

  • $2,500 to Dubuque Community YMCA/YWCA Reach & RiseĀ® Mentoring Program for the Mentee Experience Enhancement Project
  • $750 to Hills & Dales Child Development Center for its summer inclusion program
  • $500 to St. Mark Youth Enrichment for its bully prevention program
  • $1,250 to Four Oaks for the Opportunity Passport program

In alignment with America’s Five Promises, five priority areas were funded by YAPPERS Grants: Caring Adults, Safe Places, A Healthy Start, Effective Education and Opportunities to Serve. The funded projects focused on improving the quality of life for the most disadvantaged youth in our community.
