THE HISTORY OF YOUTH GIVING
In 2016, Candid (formerly known as the Foundation Center) initiated a journey that would transform into Youth Giving. This movement became a dynamic catalyst, empowering young minds and grantmaking enthusiasts to explore giving, learn from experts, and advocate for causes they believed in.
Beyond the digital realm, Youth Giving evolved into a potent force for change. Youth aged 8 to 30 worldwide pooled resources through grantmaking programs, nurturing independence, leadership, and decision-making skills. Collaboration extended to institutions, foundations, and schools, amplifying their capacity for substantial change.
The advent of YouthGiving.org marked a pivotal moment, tracking and celebrating youth’s profound insights when making grants. Over 800 programs globally participated, underscoring young grantmakers’ role in shaping a brighter future. As we transition from Candid to The International Social Impact Institute® (The ISII), we continue this legacy, standing united with young changemakers to steer towards a more equitable world.

THE HANDOVER OF YOUTH GIVING TO THE ISII
On International Youth Day, August 12, 2022, a significant torch was passed. The International Social Impact Institute® assumed the stewardship of Youth Giving, heralding an era of renewed empowerment and collective action.
